The following information is intended to give you an overview of how we collect and process your data. We adhere to the recommendations of the focus group ‘Consumer protection policy in the digital world’ from the German Digital Summit. What sort of data do we collect from you?

  • Technical details: we store the domain name or IP address of your computer, the client file request (file name and URL), the http response code, and the internet site from which you visit us.
  • We use cookies – little text files that are temporarily stored on your computer and saved by your browser. You can set your browser so that these cookies are not stored, or so that they are deleted after your browsing session.
  • Some pages include buttons for social media networks that you can use to recommend content from game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e. V. to others. If you click one of these buttons, the following data may be transmitted to the website operator: IP address, browser information and operating system, screen resolution, installed browser plug-ins like Adobe Flash Player, where visitors came from if they followed a link (referrer), URL of the current page.

Privacy policy

game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e. V. takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. Consequently, we only collect and use your personal data in accordance with existing data protection regulations. You can use our website without disclosing your identity. If you use our feedback form or apply online, we will ask for your name and other personal information. It is up to you to decide whether or not you want to provide this information. Any information you provide to us will be stored on secure servers in Germany. Only a few specially authorised individuals are permitted to access your data; they are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial management of the servers.

Relaying personal data to third parties

For order processing purposes, your personal data will only be used within game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e. V. and its associated companies and will not be passed on to third parties without your express permission. If game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e. V. is required by law or court order to supply your data to authorised officials, data will be provided within the scope of requirements. game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e. V. will not pass your data on to third parties for other purposes without your express permission.

Right to withdrawal.

If you request that game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e. V. not use your personal data to contact you further and/or that game delete your data, game will do as you request. Data that is absolutely necessary for order processing and/or billing and accounting purposes is not affected by a cancellation or deletion.

Cookies

We occasionally collect information from visitors to our website in order to continuously optimise our online services. The information we collect is anonymised and cannot be used to identify individual customers. In order to collect this anonymised information, we occasionally use cookies. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses cookies: text files that are stored on your computer and allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information the cookies generate about your use of the website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
